May 16-22, 2010 is National Dog Bite Prevention Week
If you have read my story, then you know that meeting Roltime's postman the first time raised a few hairs on my back, but I did not bite him. By now, you have probably heard that in order to receive any discounts on your mailings that your list needs to be NCOA certified. What exactly does that mean?
NCOA stands for, National Change of Address. NCOA is the database that is used when you move to the a new home.
Every year approximately forty million Americans move their place of residence and/or business, but their old addresses often remain in mailer’s databases. As a result, mailings continue to go to old addresses and not the new ones. It is estimated that at least 8% of all mail is undeliverable because of incorrect addresses.
Having your list NCOA certified with Roltime will not only make sure your list is current, but it will save you time and money!
Keep in mind that NCOA certification does not guarantee that you will not receive any more returned mail because someone has moved. It is approx 96% accurate becuase it is consumer driven. If you move and do not inform the USPS, then when someone certifies their list, they will not receive the most current information.
So as the USPS says....Change of Address? Don't Stress!
Hopefully my first blog entry has been helpful!
